San Francisco music writer Civic Center Mike was at the Dia de los Muertos Family Concert presented by the San Francisco Symphony on Sunday, and posted some great photos and insights on his blog. He makes special note of how much fun the musicians seemed to be having, how delightful it was to see the dynamic Alondra de la Parra conducting the orchestra, and explains a bit more about the meaning and context of parts of the Day of the Dead celebration as well as the performance.

See his photos and read more here.
