Oh my ... so many wonderful concerts, such an OldBoeBrain. How can I decide? How can I remember them all and choose?
But I do recall Nathan Milstein's encore (one of the Bach unaccompanied sonata movements) when he played with San José Symphony. And another time Stoltzman walking out to play the Stravinsky Three Pieces for clarinet when the power went out at the CPA and the orchestra couldn't play until the emergency stand lights were set up.

I've been playing professionally since 1975, but I've only recently had the time and (almost) money to go out with my husband to enjoy San Francisco Symphony concerts as well as San Francisco Opera performances. It's an absolute delight! (Raising three children and living on a musician's income didn't allow for that enjoyment until now.)
