Profile Information

My favorite musicians:
Many and varied.
My favorite composers:
From the classics to the modern, my interests are broad and eclectic (see above, related to Favorite Musicians).
The instrument(s) I play (or played, as a kid):
Guitar, flute, recorder, voice
My favorite concert of all time:
Hard to say. Music has been an consistent theme throughout my life in various forms, and I love live music (and regularly attend shows) which makes it somewhat difficult to choose a singular favorite.
What I’d like people on this social network to know about me:
I am very interested in the evolution and confluence of music and technology, related to music making, distribution, or a host of other associated subjects...but there still is nothing that can match the live, in-person concert experience.
How I’m connected with the San Francisco Symphony:
as a fan, go to concerts, work for the Symphony

Hi Michael:
I just joined after learning about this site from Jim Horio, the IT Director of the Asian Art Museum. I wonder if you could lead a discussion at the next Non-Profit IT Director's meeting on the emerging use of social networking in the arts? Jim suggested it and I think it is a great idea. You (the Symphony) is showing some real leadership here. We have not set a date, but I am thinking of June 17th from 3:30 - 5:00pm.
