As a fan of Schubert, I thought you might be interested in the contest to win tickets to the opener of our Schubert-Berg Festival, Wednesday, May 27. All you need to do is go to the contest entry page and think of a stimulating, interesting question for SF Symphony Principal Horn Bob Ward. He'll pick the best question on Monday, May 26, and post a video response on the social network. The winner gets two tickets to the 8 p.m. performance 5/27 of Michael Tilson Thomas and the Orchestra performing Schubert's Rosamunde Overture and his Unfinished Symphony, plus Alban Berg's Seven Early Songs and Three Pieces for Orchestra. Mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung is the featured soloist. Good luck!

Other: always showing most interest in things of the past from literature to music, i can say that mary cheung's EARPLAY - contemporary classical - is worth the time and not what one would expect. in fact, i arranged to use some of the musicians i've had the pleasure of hearing to record what i have composed for american express, a project that has been in the works since late 2008.
