Trying to find a good, relatively quick restaurant near Davies is a perennial problem for me, especially with Ananda Fuara being closed on Wednesday evenings.

Any suggestions for where to dine? I'd have to be in no earlier than 6:30, able to walk to Davies in time for an 8:00 show.

Thanks!

Since I work in the neighborhood (SF Conservatory) I have a few favorites. One is Indigo, on MacAllister, very good at getting you in and out in reasonable time. Another, less well-known, is the little Bistro Clovis at Franklin and Market. It's usually not crowded, but the food is nice bistro-home French.

What about that Peruvian restaurant on Gough and Hayes? It isn't vegetarian, but maybe a salad. Or what about that Thai restaurant on Gough or there are many restaurants on Hayes. I LOOVE Ananda Fuara, but, yes, it is a challenge to find VEGETARARIAN many time. Mary Ann

Nice roundup by Lisa Petrie in SFCV.org this week of places to eat and drink both before and after Davies Symphony Hall events:

I agree Scott! Bistro Clovis and Indigo are great places near Davies.
